FabFilter Saturn 2 is a powerful music production tool that provides a variety of distortion models inspired by retro sounds such as tubes, tape, transformers, and guitar amps. It has five unique FX distortion patterns, a multiband architecture, and per-band feedback, dynamics, drive, tone, and modulation controls.

The wide modulation section adds warmth and definition by applying gentle modulation to crossover frequencies, dynamics, band levels, and tone settings. The program also has MIDI Learn, Smart Parameter Interpolation, interface scaling, support for Avid control surfaces, GPU-powered graphics acceleration, interactive aid suggestions, and SSE optimization.
